Legislation, Regulations & Guidelines

The Accord Acts, the regulations which have been promulgated pursuant to them, and Board guidelines and policies, make up the regulatory framework which governs petroleum operations in the Nova Scotia offshore area.  The regulatory regime is based upon federal legislative models and regulations developed in consultation with other petroleum regulators in Canada and abroad.
